Common questions

Can I change the platform's language to Spanish, French or German?

Yes. Open your community’s General settings and pick a Community language. Heartbeat runs in Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Hindi, Arabic and 100+ more, and your members see it in that language on desktop and mobile.

Will my members get emails and notifications in my language?

Yes. Login codes, invitations, event reminders, the weekly digest, payment confirmations and push notifications go out in your community's language.

Can my sign-up and checkout pages be in my members' language?

Yes. They open in the language each visitor’s browser is set to.

My community is bilingual. Can members pick their own language?

Inside the community, everyone sees the language you set for it. Sign-up and checkout pages still follow each visitor's browser. If you serve two language groups, run a community for each, or split your channels by language.

Can posts and messages be translated automatically?

No. What you and your members write stays in the language it was written in. Heartbeat translates its own buttons, menus, emails and notifications. Members can use their browser's translate option for posts.

Can I rename built-in words like 'All lessons' or 'Mark as complete'?

Not today. Built-in labels follow your community language. Everything you create, like channels, courses, lessons and offers, you can name however you want.

Do you support Arabic and Hebrew?

Yes, both are available as community languages. For now, pages read left to right.

Can I charge in euros or pounds instead of dollars?

Yes. You pick the currency for each offer from 27, including euros, pounds, Canadian dollars, Brazilian reais, Mexican pesos and Indian rupees. The currency locks once an offer has members, so set it before you launch.

Can members pay in their own currency?

Each offer has one currency. To sell in two, duplicate the offer, set the second currency, and share a separate link for each.

How do time zones work for live events?

You set the time zone when you create an event, and every member sees it in their own local time.

Is it included in every plan?

Yes. Community language is on every plan, starting at $49 a month on Build, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.
