What payment methods does Heartbeat accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards. We also support Cash App Pay, Link, and several local bank payment methods, including Bancontact (Belgium), EPS (Austria), iDEAL (Netherlands), Przelewy24 (Poland), SEPA Direct Debit (Europe), and bank transfers.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you have a question about a refund, please reach out to our support team and we’ll be happy to review your situation and help!

Do you charge transaction fees?

Yes, Heartbeat charges a transaction fee based on your plan (Build 5%, Grow 2.5%, Scale 1.25%), which is added on top of Stripe’s standard credit card processing fee (typically 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction).

Do you support international payment processing?

Yes, accounts connected to Stripe are able to accept international payments from customers around the world when your business is set up in a country where Stripe is supported. Businesses using Stripe can accept payments in multiple currencies and from customers in many countries, helping you sell globally. Learn more here.

Do you offer migration support?

Yes. We support self-serve migration of payments, content, and members.

You can migrate key parts of your community, including subscriptions and payment data, content like courses, events, and more. Our team is available to support and guide you as needed.

Do I get charged when I add a new admin to my community?

No. You are not charged per community member of any kind.

Where can I find my invoices?

You can access your invoices and receipts in Heartbeat by going to Settings → Platform → Billing and clicking Manage Billing. This opens your Stripe billing portal, where you can view your subscription details. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see and download all invoices.

What happens at the end of the 14-day trial?

If you haven’t upgraded by the end of your free trial, your community will be deactivated. Communities that remain inactive for 30 days are automatically deleted.

Does Heartbeat have a free trial?

Yes, we offer a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required. During the trial, you can upgrade to a paid plan.

What are the billing options for Heartbeat’s paid plans?

You can choose to pay for your plan on a monthly or annual basis. Choosing annual billing saves you 17% on the Build and Grow tiers, or 10% on the Scale tier. You can switch between monthly and annual billing at any time. If you switch billing frequencies, any necessary prorations or refunds will be applied.

How secure is my video content on Heartbeat?

Heartbeat offers secure, in-platform video hosting so your content stays protected.

Instead of relying on external links, you can upload videos directly from your device and share them seamlessly with your community. Native video hosting is available as a $19/month add-on, which includes 50 hours of storage. It’s also included in higher-tier plans, with 50 hours on the Grow plan and 200 hours on the Scale plan. You can choose the option that best fits your needs as your community grows.

Are courses evergreen or cohort-based?

The choice is yours! When creating a course, you'll walk through a process to set up the overall structure of how you will deliver content.

You can choose from 2 different course structures:
Evergreen
: Always available courses. Lessons can be dripped out over time.

Cohort-Based: Courses run with fixed start and end times. (i.e. bootcamps, fellowships, etc.)

What data can I pull about my members and community?

As an admin, you'll have access to analytics around engagement, onboarding information, course participation rates, and event information.

Yes, it’s your choice! You can make event pages public or private.

Setting your event to public will allow you to share the event page with people outside the community. Public events are often used as a marketing tool to funnel new leads into the community.
