She Freelances™

She Freelances is a community and education program for ambitious women who want to start or scale a profitable freelance marketing business, particularly as creative strategists or fractional marketers.

Founded by Denée Tamia Seaton after building a six-figure freelance career as a copywriter and creative strategist, She Freelances helps women build high-value skills, find high-paying clients, and create a freelance business that actually works for them.

Freelancing is a large part of the American workforce. Upwork's Freelance Forward study found that 64 million Americans did freelance work in 2023, 38% of the U.S. workforce, and that nearly half of freelancers provided knowledge services such as marketing, programming and consulting.

Two marketing roles have grown up around that shift. A creative strategist plans the ideas behind a brand's ads, especially on paid social platforms such as Meta and TikTok: which angles to test, what the hooks and scripts say, and what the results suggest for the next round. A fractional marketer leads marketing for several companies at once on a part-time or contract basis, giving a business senior experience without a full-time hire; at executive level the role is often called a fractional CMO.

Fractional marketers are commonly paid a monthly retainer rather than by the project, which suits businesses that need steady marketing leadership but not a full-time executive.
