VetCircle
A membership community for independently owned Canadian veterinary practices and the teams who run them.
Who it's for
Owners, practice managers and staff at independently owned veterinary hospitals across Canada.
Members are carrying the business side of a clinic alongside patient care, and they come for operational systems, HR guidance, buying power and peers who have solved the same problems without giving up their independence.
Who built it
Amy Ma co-founded VetCircle and is its COO. She and her co-founder, Monty, were part of the early team at a corporate veterinary organization, where Monty led operations and Amy focused on business development. They started VetCircle to give independent practice owners the same advantages as corporate groups without taking away their independence.
Both remain involved inside clinics. A team covering member services, training and community development runs VetCircle day to day.

Veterinary medicine in Canada is regulated province by province, and clinics have traditionally been owned by the veterinarians who work in them.
That has been changing. A 2023 report from the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association found that corporate groups control about 20% of veterinary hospitals in Canada and employ about 40% of the country's veterinarians. The largest include VetStrategy, VCA Canada and NVA Canada.
Corporate groups bring advantages a single clinic finds hard to match: negotiated prices on supplies and equipment, shared HR and management systems, and staff training. Independent owners who want those advantages without selling often join buying groups and practice networks, which pool purchasing power and share operating know-how across many separately owned clinics.
What's inside
Membership covers veterinary management and HR guidance, negotiated group rebates and discounts, equipment sourcing assistance, continuing education and a complimentary in-hospital assessment that gives owners an outside read on their operations.
Webinars and labs include From Routine to Revenue, Workflow Optimization for Veterinary Practices and the Canine Fundamentals Extraction Wet Lab. Members find templates and SOPs in the dashboard or the VetCircle app, and can post questions under an alias.
