To ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all users, we have established these community guidelines. By using the Heartbeat platform, you agree to abide by these guidelines and contribute positively to our community.
We rely on our community members to help us maintain a safe and inclusive environment on Heartbeat. If you come across any content or behavior that violates our community guidelines, we encourage you to report it.
Here's how you can report violations:
- For content violations, please report them to support@heartbeat.chat.
- In direct messages, you can report messages to the community admins if you wish to address the issue with them.
Creating a Positive Community
Heartbeat is home to a diverse range of communities. As a member or community builder, it is your responsibility to contribute to a positive environment. Here are some guidelines to foster engagement and maintain a welcoming atmosphere:
- Respect fellow community members and their opinions.
- Encourage open and constructive discussions.
- Be mindful of cultural differences and varying perspectives.
- Support each other's growth and learning journeys.
- Contribute valuable content that aligns with the community's purpose.
- Foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels heard and valued.
Prohibited Content and Behaviors
To maintain a safe and respectful community, the following behaviors and content are strictly prohibited on Heartbeat:
- Harassment: Coordinating or engaging in any form of harassment is not tolerated, including bullying and intimidation.
- Hate Speech: Hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on attributes such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, age, or sexual orientation is not allowed. This includes defamation.
- Threats and Violence: Any form of threats, violence, or promotion of violent extremism is strictly prohibited.
- Child Sexual Abuse: Sharing, soliciting, or depicting child sexual abuse is illegal and will result in immediate account suspension and legal action.
- Sexual Conduct Involving Minors: Engaging in or soliciting sexual conduct involving minors, regardless of your age, is strictly prohibited.
- Nonconsensual Explicit Content: All sexually suggestive content must have explicit consent from all parties involved.
- Self-Harm and Suicide: Content that normalizes or promotes self-harm, suicide, or any form of dangerous behavior is strictly prohibited.
- Intellectual Property Violations: Do not share or distribute content that infringes upon someone else's intellectual property rights.
- False Information: Sharing false information or engaging in disinformation campaigns is not allowed. This includes misinformation relating to vaccines, and disinformation related to promoting conspiracy theories.
- Identity Misrepresentation: Do not misrepresent your identity in a way that harms others or deceives the community. This includes impersonation of brands, people, or organizations that can result in harm to others.
- Privacy and Security: Do not share private information, such as passwords or identification numbers, of yourself or others. The Heartbeat platform is not HIPAA compliant, so protected health information cannot be stored or shared on the platform.
- Financial Scams: Using Heartbeat to promote or organize financial scams, including activities that exploit others, is strictly prohibited.
- Spamming: Do not engage in excessive or unsolicited promotion or repetitive content posting.
- Artificial Membership Boosting: Avoid artificially increasing membership or engagement metrics through fraud.
- Illegal Behavior: Engaging in any illegal activities on Heartbeat is strictly prohibited. This includes encouraging others to break the law.
- Abuse of Heartbeat Products: Do not misuse or exploit Heartbeat's features, functionalities, or services.
- Misleading Support Teams: Do not provide false or misleading information to Heartbeat's support teams.
Moderation and Enforcement
When a violation occurs, the team may take appropriate actions, including:
- Issuing warnings or reminders about the guidelines.
- Removing content that violates the guidelines.
- Suspending or permanently removing an account.
- Quarantining a community or transitioning it off the Heartbeat platform.
The Heartbeat team does not actively monitor the content posted in communities, so it is up to community members, admins, and moderators to report community guideline violations when they occur.
Community guideline reports can be sent to support@heartbeat.chat. Once a report is initiated, our team will ask for a screenshot of the reported content, which will enable us to investigate further on the backend. If a consensus is reached that the content is in violation of our guidelines, the community admin will be contacted and one or more of the actions mentioned above will be taken.
Privacy and Legal
As a user of Heartbeat, you are subject to our Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and Data Processing Addendum. It is important to familiarize yourself with these documents to understand your rights and obligations while using our platform.
