Who it's for

People who want food security close to home and plan to grow, bake, make or trade within a 50-mile radius, including homesteaders and people preparing for environmental and economic shifts.

All are welcome regardless of race, gender, age, religion, nationality, socioeconomic position or skill level. Members take a pledge to support local growers, bakers and makers before spending elsewhere, and to offer their own produce, products or services locally.

Being a part of Collectively Sustainable for a little over a year has impacted my life in ways I’m genuinely grateful for. I’ve learned so much, built meaningful connections, and found community in a season of life where that means more than ever… As a mother and a business owner, I’m reminded that we weren’t meant to do everything alone.

Nicole Evans, Steward

Who built it

Lawrence Seals founded Collectively Sustainable and has appeared as a guest on outside podcasts to talk about the initiative.

He built it around a mission of giving the community direct access to people with the skills, produce, products and resources needed to create and support hyper-local food systems, guided by values that include Authentic Dialogue, Respect for Nature and Building Real Community.
